Harry’s CEO Natalie McNamara Speaks on Parking Enforcement in Scott’s Addition
This week, WWBT, 12 On Your Side, reported on the return of parking enforcement in Scott’s Addition, ending a COVID-era pause on timed parking restrictions in the area.
The report highlighted concerns from local businesses, including Natalie McNamara, owner of Harry’s at Hofheimer, who shared how the changes could impact both employees and guests. With staff working long shifts and guests often spending several hours dining, enjoying the rooftop, or attending live music, the return of enforcement may create challenges for those spending extended time in the neighborhood.
Additional concerns were raised following the removal of 25 parking spaces on Shepherd Street for a bike lane, further limiting available parking near local businesses.
The Greater Scott’s Addition Association voted to reinstate parking enforcement in April 2025. At the time of the report, no additional plans to expand parking availability had been announced.
